The Catholic Faith is very different from true Christianity. There are distinct differences and to follow Catholicism to a tee is to be led away from God. Many do not know these differences. We are not saying that every Catholic is bad or unsaved, but we are saying to be careful and watch what the Bible says about these five facts about the Catholic Church.
#1: God says no to worship graven images or idols and not to bow down to them. He also says not to have other gods before Him. Yet the Catholic Church teaches to pray to Mary and the saints.
#2: The Catholic Church has many rape cases that often go unpunished and covered up, which indicates that there is a tolerance regarding sin.
#3: Only God can forgive your sins. There is no mediator between you and Christ. The Catholic Church teaches that you can confess your sins to a priest and he can forgive you if you meet certain requirements.
#4: The church is worth many billions of dollars, and some people believe it may be trillions. It is almost impossible to tell how much because they are so secret and keep their funds split up across the world. They also have their own bank. These things show a value for worldly goods and love of money over helping the poor and those who need it. Catholic money only goes to fund the Catholic churches and Catholic people.
#5: Catholicism teaches that all believers who die in God’s grace must still go through a period of painful and torturous purification to gain the right to live in heaven. The Bible teaches that this is not true and that we are purified by God’s death on the cross and bearing our sins on our behalf.
